One Minute Winged Liner
Picture this…you’re rushing out the door for school or work and don’t have time for a full face of makeup, but still want to look polished. Sound familiar? We’ve all been there (more times than we’d like to admit, right?), so today we’re sharing our one (that’s right, you heard us, ONE!) minute winged liner trick. You’ll even have time for a coffee run. Now, who said you can’t have your coffee and winged liner too?!
What you Need:
- Black or brown gel liner–Makeup Geek’s Immortal or Mobster
- Bent eyeliner brush–Makeup Geek Bent Liner Brush
- Scotch tape
Place a piece of Scotch tape (about 1″) along the outer part of your eye toward the tail of your eyebrow, using your lower lash line as a guide. Take your bent eyeliner brush (or any super small makeup brush) and apply your eyeliner along the tape, connecting it to your upper lash line to form a triangle shape—this will give the illusion of a wing.
Got an extra minute? Transform your winged liner into a softly smudged cat eye! You’ll just need two more products:
- Dark brown eyeshadow–Makeup Geek’s Bada Bing
- Pencil brush–Makeup Geek Pencil Brush
Begin by placing your dark brown eyeshadow on top of your gel liner using a pencil brush—smudge it upward to smoke out the liner. Be careful to stay relatively close to your lash line and the Scotch tape and don’t forget to blend out any harsh lines. Voila…you’ve got a softly smudged cat eye that’s perfect for daytime!
When you’re in a hurry, it helps to use the proper tools and simple techniques. Here’s to looking great even when you’re running late, muggies!
