Hologram Blush Effect | Pretty Smart
Welcome to Beauty Bites…and no, we’re not eating our makeup! ;) What is Beauty Bites, you ask? Beauty Bites is a series of quick & easy-to-follow beauty tips to help you combat pesky makeup dilemmas and play up your features.
Each Beauty Bites video highlights a different product or technique that will make looking (and feeling!) your best as easy as pie! See what we did there?
You’ve probably heard of strobing, and today we’re talking about a similar technique that also creates an intense glow on the cheeks…hologram blush! In a nutshell, hologram blush is a process in which you layer cream blush with reflective pigment and a powder blush to create an ultra-illuminated look. Watch me walk you through the application in my video!
PRODUCTS NEEDED:
- Cream Blush
- Duochrome Pigment
- Powder Blush
- Cheek Highlighter Brush
HOW TO APPLY:
Step 1: Dip two fingers (make sure they’re clean!) into your cream blush and gently press the product into your cheeks to blend. Focus the majority of the color toward the sides of your face/temples.
Step 2: Use your cheek highlighter brush and lightly tap your duochrome pigment over the top of your cream blush to add a gorgeous color shift to the cheeks.
Step 3: Pick up color from your powder blush using the same cheek highlighter brush (wipe it off between products!) and simply dust over to set and seal the duochrome pigment.
When you’re finished, you should have duochrome pigment layered between a bottom later of cream blush and a top layer of powder blush. Get your glow on—if you give this unique technique a try, be sure to tag your looks with the hashtag #makeupgeekcosmetics!
